Pictures from a trip to the Canadian island of Newfoundland: St. John’s, Irish Loop and even St. Pierre et Miquelon in France!
When you visit Newfoundland, plan on driving around a bit. Although I haven’t yet seen the spectacular west coast of the island, I can recommend visiting the Bonavista peninsula (including the idyllic town of Trinity) and doing the Irish loop south of St. John’s. Lots of photo opportunities there!
For some extra fun, drive to Fortune and take a boat to France. Yes, France. It’s just a few nautical miles away. The islands of St. Perre et Miquelon are truly a part of France.

Newfoundland is one of the North Atlantic islands that make up Atlantic Canada. The largest city and capital of the province (which includes Labrador) is St. John’s on the east coast.
