These are pictures from a trip to southern Finland. We went there for a conference but carved out a few days to discover Helsinki, Lahti and the historic wooden town of Porvoo. We also saw Tampere but only because Ryanair took us there.

Where is it?

Finland is one of the Scandinavian countries. It shares a sizeable length border with Russia, which is why the urban areas are tunneled by occasional bunkers. You’ll like the landscape if you are into lakes and forests.
